What was originally a convent garden, it still has many green spaces
Walk in any direction from Covent Garden and you’ll soon find a park or green space.
Hyde Park, for instance, covers 350 acres and is home to a number of famous landmarks including the Serpentine Lake, Speakers’ Corner and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain.
The largest public square in London is also just a few hundred yards away. Lincoln's Inn Fields has a rich and varied history. Designed, in part, by the architect, Inigo Jones, the square is flanked by superb buildings including Sir John Soane's Museum, Lindsey House (the only building on the square dating back to the mid 17th century) and the Inns of Court.
